About me

My name is Kevin Brown.  I live in Yamaga, Japan. I am divorced. I have had limited contact with my son (Isaac who was born in January of 2005) since he moved to Kumamoto, Japan with his mother.  I have been alienated from my son in some ways but I do have monthly visits with my son that usually go OK.  I have been separated from my son since March of 2007.  My first goal is to change Japan’s Family Law system from a sole custody system to a joint custody system.  After divorce the child stays with one parent (custodial parent) and other parent (non-custodial) often disappears. Japan’s Family Court System is quite primitive and unfair. I think it is fair to say that family court judges alienate children from one parent through the decisions that they make. Most people in Japan don’t know about Parental Alienation including lawyers, judges, and parents.  I have come to realize Parental Alienation and Joint Custody are closely connected. I wanted to create a resource for alienated parents so I started this blog. I have one other blog titled “Children First Japan”, which has more information about me, the things I am trying to change/accomplish, as well as stories, links, and videos related to joint custody, abuse, and bullying.
